The Pharmacist Mom

Kristianne Hannemann, PharmD

I’ve known that I wanted to become a pharmacist since high school when I fell in love with chemistry and biology. I received my Bachelor of Science in pharmacology from University of California, Santa Barbara, and my Doctor of Pharmacy from University of California, San Francisco. Shortly after, I passed the NAPLEX and state license exams and became a licensed pharmacist. I have a decade of experience in community pharmacy and have contributed hundreds of evidence-based research articles to health information websites.

As a mom of two, I am constantly researching up-to-date health information for my family. I am passionate about empowering others to make informed decisions about their health and the care of their loved ones. During my years spent in the community pharmacy setting, I became frustrated with the lack of time I had to counsel my patients on important information pertaining to their treatment and well-being. I now spend my time focusing on educating people online about their medications.

For my research, I use recent publications in reputable medical journals and sources such as the Food and Drug Administration, European Medicines Agency, National Institutes of Health, National Health Service, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the World Health Organization.
